Kenneth Young Sr., age 62, passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2024. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Virginia Merrit; father, Albert Young Jr. He is survived by his children Kenneth Jr., Dominique, and Dahnae; grandchildren Kemp Jr., Faith, Brooklyn, Ka’Myah, Dominyk, Divinity, A’Zai; siblings Albert (Marian) Young lll, Robert Young, Penny (Loyd) Bowen, Delbert Young, Roger (Lindsay) Young, and Joel (Maria) Young; honorary mother, Bobbie Clark; children's mothers Jerri Young and Bessie Hill; seven nephews; eight nieces; 10 grand-nephews; 11 grand-nieces; three great-grand-nephews.
Kenny served in the National Guard. He graduated from Grandville High School in 1981. He was active in the wrestling program at Grandville Jr. High and High School. He worked, up until his passing, at Kraft Heinz in Holland, MI. He also modeled for Uniquely You in his 20s for eight to ten years.
Funeral services will be held 4 p.m. Saturday, April 20, 2024 at Cook Memorial Chapel (East Building), 4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville, MI 49418, with visitation from 3-4 p.m. prior to service. The family welcomes memories and messages at www.cookcaresgrandville.com in their guest book online.
