Jayne enjoyed the simple pleasures of life with her four brothers. Jayne said, “My parents were my heroes. My dad was a painter and my mom was a server at Kent Country Club. They both worked hard because it was important to have us in the Christian School." Jayne had perfect pitch and sang on the radio program, “The Children's Bible Hour." She also sang in the Creston High Madrigals, the Rose Garden at the White House, Arlington National Cemetery, the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier when President Nixon was in office, and the Calvin College Oratorio Society. Jayne was “Miss United Fund," did some TV ads for 7UP, and later worked for Estee Lauder. To read a story about her life, go to: https://www.sunsetcommunities.org/uncategorized/how-sweet-the-sound/
