Helen Ruby Zimmerman (Nelson)

ZIMMERMAN Helen Ruby Zimmerman (Nelson), age 96, passed peacefully into her loving Savior's arms on Friday, January 23, 2015. Helen was born on January 23, 1919 in Marquette, Nebraska. She was preceded in death by her husband Harold of 64 years of marriage; her son Richard "Dick" Zimmerman; great-grand daughter Brandi DeBoer; parents Hannah and Oscar Nelson; brothers Leo Nelson and Roy Nelson.

She will be lovingly remembered by her son Larry (Sharon) Zimmerman; daughter Barbara (Fred) LaMaire; son Tom (Teresa) Zimmerman; daughter-in-law Sharon Zimmerman and Phil Walldorff. Her grandchildren Scott (Dawn) LaMaire, Todd (Diane) LaMaire, Matthew (Jill) LaMaire, Brett (Mary) Zimmerman, Brian (Marylou) Zimmerman, Lori Jane DeBoer, Cindi (Michael) Holt, Marc Zimmerman, Chad (Mindy) Zimmerman; brother Bill Nelson; sister-in-law Joyce Nelson; sister Leona O'Toole of AZ; sister Eleanor Haynes; sister-in-law Rita Herczeg of FL; many nieces and nephews. Helen was greatly blessed with 23 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great- grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to share in a Memorial Celebration of Helen's life 11 a.m. Thursday, January 29, 2015 at Rosewood Reformed Church - 2795 Rosewood, Jenison, MI with Pastor Jim Goldschmeding officiating.
