In loving memory of Patricia Anne Williams and Donald Edward Williams, it is with heavy hearts that we announce their passing. Don passed away first on June 16, 2016, followed by his cherished wife, Pat, on December 26, 2023. Their love endured and will be reunited at the resurrection.
Preceding them in death were their siblings Barbara Grooters, Robert Williams and Forrest Williams. They leave behind a legacy cherished by their three sons, Mike, Don, and Mark, as well as eight grandchildren and over 20 great-grandchildren. Don is survived by his sister, Maris Kilbourne, and his sister-in-law, Mary Williams.
Don and Pat's journey began in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where they laid the foundation of their family. Traverse City held a special place in their hearts, calling them back twice for a total of 10 years. Don's career took various paths before he found his calling at the age of 46 as a pastor in the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Together, they served communities in Detroit, Troy, Monroe, Fremont, and Gobles, Michigan, touching countless lives with their faith and compassion.
To their three boys, they were not just parents, but beacons of love and guidance. Their home was filled with warmth, laughter, and unwavering support. Beyond their family, Don and Pat were cherished by friends and church members alike, their kindness and generosity leaving an indelible mark on all who knew them.
As we bid farewell to these beloved souls, we find solace in the memories they've left behind.
A memorial service to celebrate their lives will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at Cook Memorial Chapel (East Building), 4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville, MI 49418, with visitation from 1:30-2:30 p.m. Though they may have left this earthly realm, their love and legacy will forever endure in the hearts of those they touched.
The family welcomes memories and messages at www.cookcaresgrandville.com in their guest book online.
