Dan Cole, age 61, went to be with his Lord and Savior Friday, March 3, 2023. He was preceded in death by his parents Donald and Isla Cole; father-in-law, Howard Vos; and brother-in-law, Mike Vos. He is survived by his wife, Holly (Vos) Cole; sons Jeff (Kristina) Cole and Travis Cole; grandson, Jonathan Cole; brothers Paul (Catherine) and Randy Cole; mother-in-law, Gloria Vos; sister-in-law, Kelly Jensen (Lane); and many nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.
Dan lost his 12 and a half year battle with cancer March 3. Before and even during his battle with cancer, biking and running were a joy of Dan’s life. Dan was also an avid sports fan. A lot of memories were created with family and friends while watching or listening to a game. He loved long road trips with his wife, Holly, as well as other family and friends. Visitation with friends and family will be from 2-5 p.m. Sunday, March 19, 2023 at Cook Memorial Chapel, 4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday, March 20 at First Reformed Church of Grandville, 3060 Wilson Ave. SW, Grandville, with visitation one hour prior to service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Dan Cole Memorial Fund and sent to P.O. Box 895, Grand Rapids, MI 49518-0895, care of Adventure Credit Union, to assist with medical bills and final expenses.
