Cora Grace Ropp, age 80, passed away Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at her home in Mecosta, MI, surrounded by her loving family. Cora was born April 10, 1942 in Midland, MI, to Harley and Alice (Schautz) Davis.
Cora worked at Tri-City Plastics for 20 plus years and retired from Lear Corporation.
Cora grew up, married, and raised her family in Midland, MI. She and her late husband, Don, enjoyed exploring the countryside in their old Fords, making pit-stops along the way. Her interests included fishing, crocheting, candy making, and cooking, but her greatest love was her family and friends. Later in life, She married her husband of 27 years, Lloyd, and they moved to Mecosta, Mi. They hosted family at the lake, visited family in California, and had numerous camping adventures, including Alcona, MI and Lone Wolf Woods. Cora will be missed by all who loved her and will be remembered for her big smile, great heart, and delicious cooking.
Cora is survived by her husband, Lloyd Ropp; children Charles Thompson, Christopher (Annette) Thompson; stepson, David (Pam) Ropp; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Ruthann (late Ray) Krotzer; many loving nieces and nephews; and a loving dog, Emmy Lou.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Don Dubke; stepchildren Rick (Gail) Ropp, John (Karen) Ropp, Gail Dubke; brothers Don (Sadie) Davis, Bill (Shirley) Davis, Harley (Beatrice) Davis Jr., Jack (Eva) Davis; sisters Jean (Jim) Letts, Dorothy Davis, and Linda Davis; and a devoted dog, Gracie.
