I'm really sorry to hear of the passing of Cameron - I first met him back in 2000 in Buncrana during the A" Dochartaigh Reunion. His work and commitment to the Clann effort will always be remembered and appreciated. My deepest condolences to Pat, and to Cameron's wife and children.

Very sad to hear of Cameron's passing. He was a wealth of knowledge about the clan and I thoroughly enjoyed our conversations at the reunion in 2010. He was a good friend and very helpful even outside of the reunion. He will be missed, certainly.

Cameron and I always found time to visit during the O'Dochartaigh reunions and we have exchanged numerous emails and a few phone calls over the years. I will miss his passionate dedication to the O'Dochartaigh Clann worldwide. His knowledge of Clann history was a great help to many of us trying to discover our roots. I for one will raise a toast in his memory today and at the next reunion.

I met Cameron in Ireland through his dad Pat on Inch Island many years ago. His support and enthusiasm for his dads vision for the O'Dochartaigh clann has always been inspiring. Cameron loved talking to people, you could tell. His passing is a loss to not only his immediate family, but to the entire O'Dochartaigh clann. We will miss seeing his smile at the 2015 reunion and beyond. God Bless Cameron Dougherty and his family.

Cameron encouraged me, years ago, to write a book about my Daugherty family. It will come out at the end of this year. I'm only sorry that he will not get to see it. What a kind and supportive person he was! I won't forget sharing Daugherty/Dougherty stories with him at Inch House in 2008. When we renew our acquaintance in heaven, then we'll know the answers to all those genealogy questions we've been asking all these years. And I hope we'll share some good Irish songs and dances!

I have great memories of Ron and my late husband, Chuck, talking and planning for hours about ways to improve the database for the O'dochartaigh clan records. Both were great men, taken from us too soon. My deepest sympathy for all the family.

I met Cameron when he visited the O'Dochartaigh Headquarters on a regular basis as one of the "founding fathers" along with his dad, Pat Dougherty. I worked on genealogy records there for about five years. Although I now live in Ireland after marrying a local man, I was originally from Michigan which gave me a wonderful connection to Cameron and his family. His enthusiasm for Ireland and his Irish heritage made an impression on everyone here who met him. He was always present for the O'Dochartaigh Reunions in Ireland and his presence will be greatly missed especially at next year's reunion.
 My sincere sympathy goes out to his whole family. May he rest in peace.

I met Cameron twice at the reunions in 2005 and 2008. He was a great guy. I am so sorry to hear this news. I know how hard he worked for the Clann Doherty. With the help of the clan in 2005 I was lucky enough to find and spend some time with my relatives in Ireland thanks to Cameron and the Clann members. He will be very much missed. I am so sorry for your loss.

To Cameron's family I am very sorry to hear of your loss and wish you well during this difficult and sad period.
 Although I have not met Cameron in person we exchanged many emails through the A" Dochartaigh forum. Cameron was always very friendly, helpful and supportive and had a vast knowledge of the Dougherty history along with a great enthusiasm and energy. I lost contact with Cameron when his dad was ill and moved back to USA

 Though I had known him in just the past few years, his assistance in connecting my Mom to her ancestry brought a smile to her face the months before she passed away. There is no limit to the joy and knowledge he brought to others, no measure of gratitude can begin to thank him for all he has done for others.

So sorry to hear of Ron's passing. I met him at Moody Church here in Chicago in the late 80s or early 90s. A great guy that I still remember to this day. I know it's been a while... My (late) condolence to Joyce.
