Patricia Marie Garnett-Smith

Patricia was born June 21, 1944 to James A. and Ardena R. Garnett in Carrollton, MO. She graduated from Central High School KCMO. She continued her studies in social work and was employed with Missouri Division of Family Services for 18 years before retiring in 2007. In addition she was a foster parent to countless children that were hard to place due to special needs and they all left her home stronger, feeling loved and cared for.

Patricia was a kind and caring woman of strong faith and instilled importance of family, hard work and doing what is right. Before her health declined, she enjoyed shopping, antiques, playing scrabble, dinner theaters, museums, reading and spending time with friends and family. She will be deeply missed by everyone whose life she touched.

Patricia was predeceased by her parents James and Ardena Garnett and her sister, Gwendolyn Garnett. She is survived by her children, Dawn Jackson (MO), Jon Lovette (Sarah) (MO), September Garnett (MO), Keilen-James Garnett (Jasmyne) (TX), Regina Garnett (MO); her sister, Janette Rose (Gerald) (KS); her grandchildren, Eric Lovette (MO), Hayden Grate (MO), Sean Lovette (MN), Amber Lovette (MO), Kahleia Chappelow (MO), Patric Jackson (Hillar) (FL), Joseph Hatcher Lovette (MO), MaKiya Lowery (MO), Marquise Lowery (MO), Roman Lovette (MO) ; and her great grandchildren, Olympia Lovette (MO), Justin Watson Jackson (FL), Jayden Jackson (FL), Kairo Garnett (TX); her nieces, Toni Howard (KS), Aubrei Gines (KS), Skylar Crawford (KS) and a host of extended family and friends.
