Harold Edward Klopfenstein, 80, of Grandview, MO passed away January 9, 2012. Visitation will be 1-2 pm and the funeral service following at 2:00 Friday, January 13 at McGilley & George Funeral Home in Grandview. Burial will be in the Raymore Cemetery.
Harold was born in Maroa, Illinois, son of Edward and Elise (Carver) Klopfenstein. He was an Army Korean War Veteran. After the war he worked in office machine repairs, as a machinist in Grandview and Belton, and 10 years at the Grandview Sam’s Club.
Harold was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. His family and friends enjoyed camping, boating, motorcycling and building and racing cars.
Harold leaves his wife, Donna; son, Michael; daughter, Pamela (Terry) Weil; grandson, Wm. (Kerrie) and great grandsons, Landon and Christopher; two sisters, Betty Smith and Mary Long and extended family all of Decatur, IL. He was known by “Pops” by all his friends. Harold will be missed by all he touched.
