Leo was born on June 13, 1926 in Grand Rapids, MI to Edward and Mary (Reisbig) Pratt. He is the oldest of four kids. Leo was a loving husband and father who loved his family very much. He enjoyed working in his yard and being outdoors. In his family’s words he was “always on the go.” During World War II he served in the US Navy for two years. In 1952 he married Myrtle Fewless in Lowell, MI. They were married for 71 years. Together they had four children; Marsha, Allen, Sharon, and Pamela. Leo worked a number of jobs for General Motors for many years and in his spare time enjoyed making furniture.
Leo is survived by his wife Myrtle; brother Ken and sister June Roth; children Sharon (Steve) Larson and Pamela Pratt; grandchildren Kara, Erik, Michael, and Jeffery; great grandchildren Emalyn and Kolten; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Edward and Mary; brothers Robert and Rudy; and two children Marsha and Allen.
A funeral service will be held on Friday July 28, 2023 at 11:00am at Reyers North Valley Chapel, 2815 Fuller Ave NE, Grand Rapids. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday July 27, from 2pm until 5pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Leo’s name may be made to Spectrum Health Hospice, 750 Fuller Ave NE, Grand Rapids.
