Jim was a man of honesty and integrity. He embodied what it is to be a kind and generous man. He loved to volunteer at Faith Lutheran Church and donate his time doing food baskets and other charitable work. Simply put, he was a gentleman.
Jim proudly served in the United States Navy. He was an avid card player, and would never turn down a good game of setback or cribbage. He thoroughly enjoyed life and loved to be outside fishing, golfing, and especially deer hunting, even holding the Kent County record for a number of years for the largest buck!
What he loved more than anything though was his family. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. As his granddaughter Stephanie so elegantly put it, "Grandpa has always been a man of God and someone who will always give and do more than is expected. He always had a song in his heart, either singing or humming." He will be missed by all and forever remain in our hearts.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Hank, Ray, Bob, Delos, and Butch Mull.
He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Joan, and their children, Jim Jr.(Lisa) Mull, Jenny(Mike) Miling, grandchildren Amanda and Stephanie(Deric Lustey) Mull, Mitchell Miling, sisters Jean Scribner and Jane(Don) Huizenga, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
