Jack Barton

Jack was born on May 7, 1940 to H. Gayle and Louise (Northcott) Barton. He graduated from Central High School in 1958 and in 1961 he married his wife of 55 years, Naomi. Jack spent his career as a Chiropractor and ran his family’s practice, which was founded by his father in 1938, for 60 years. He was firmly committed to his profession and loved his job. He was an active member of the Michigan Association of Chiropractors.

In life Jack was a kind and caring person who was always one to crack jokes and loved making other people smile. He was faithful and dedicated to both his family and his church. In his spare time he loved woodworking and camping, and was also an avid hunter.

Jack is survived by his four sons; Mike (Renee), Todd (Terri), Steve (Kerri), and Matt (Carlee); his 14 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife Naomi.

A funeral service will be held Monday October 30 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 250 Commerce Ave SW #100, Grand Rapids, at 7:00 PM. Visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 5:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Bethlehem Lutheran Church Endowment Fund.
