David Alan Petersen

David Alan Petersen, age 61, unexpectedly and peacefully was greeted in Heaven by Jesus and his parents, Gordon and Dorothy Petersen, on April 1, 2015. David is survived by his loving wife, Sheila, and his children Nathan (Elizabeth) Petersen, Christopher (Katie) Petersen, Kari Petersen, and step-son, Kyle Bartnick. He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren Elise, Sloane, Noah and Gwen. He is also survived by his brother Steve Petersen, his wife Joanne, their children, Chloe (Kyle) Quinn and Holly (Brittany) Allen-Petersen. David and his children have fond memories spending time with Marilynn (Tim) Hoebeke (their children Heidi, Tim and Julie), Beth Anne Dart (her children Jill and Joy), Roger (Dawn) Buffum, Gail Nichols and Terri Buffum. David will be forever remembered as honest, hard-working, patient, kind and loving of his wife and kids. Dave’s 40+ year career was centered on his fascination for the automobile, and was highlighted with his ownership of Northland Pontiac Buick GMC in Rockford and J.D. Byrider in Wyoming. More recently Dave had acquired an enthusiasm for real estate investment. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 4th at Faith Lutheran Church, 2730 Fuller Ave. NE with Rev. Lew VanderMeer officiating. The family will greet friends and relatives at Reyers North Valley Chapel on Friday, April 3rd from 4:00 to 8:00 pm.
