Mr. Carl “Dick” Nelson, aged 86, went to be with his Lord and Savior while in the company of his loving wife of 67 years on Thursday, August 29, 2013. Dick was a baseball little league coach and an avid Tiger fan. He enjoyed fishing, sports, and spending time at the cottage. He worked in and owned restaurants for over 30 years. Surviving are his wife Billie Jean Nelson, and children Judy (Robert) Vertalka of Dimondale, MI, and Rick (Jeannine) Nelson of Marquette, MI. Also surviving are five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Please join his family for a Memorial Service at 3pm Sunday, September 8, 2013 at Reyers North Valley Chapel. Visitation will be held on Sunday one hour prior to the service from 2-3pm.
