Orlando Colon

Born on April 6th, 1962, to parents Francisco Colon, and Milagros Morales in Aibonito, PR with his siblings Lilian Colon, and Fernando Lebron.

At the age of 18, Orlando enlisted in the US Army where he eventually became a sergeant. After retiring from the US military, he went to work with his passion, truck driving for Continental Trucking, where he spent time on road enjoying the long drives and scenery.

He is survived by his longtime wife Gloria Colon who he shared 15 long loving years with, in Grand Prairie, TX. Sister: Lilian Colon, Brother: Fernando Lebron, Son: Orlando Colon, Daughter: Ana Laura Colon, Nieces and Nephews: Pedro J Correa; Lizbeth Correa, Janice Lebron, Dylan Jose, Mariangely Correa, Arianna Nicole, Stepchildren: Alex Maldonado, Glorianne Maldonado-Martinez, Javier Maldonado, Sister-in-law: Elisa Ramos, Grandchildren: Arianna Lowry, Alesandra Maldonado, Alyssa Prieto, Alayah Maldonado, Kruz Prieto, Ava Prieto, and Ace Hernandez.

He will be remembered for the love he shared, strength, and selflessness. He was loved by his friends and family. He truly loved each of them and if you knew him, you knew it. He stepped up to grandfather 7 grandchildren and he always took the time to love and care for them as if they were his own. He stepped up in countless ways, he never turned his head to any of his family or friends. When his time came, he carried himself with dignity, strength, and full of love. He will be missed dearly.

A visitation for Orlando will be held Wednesday, October 18, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Bean-Massey-Burge Funeral Home Beltline Road, 2951 S. Belt Line Road, Grand Prairie, TX 75052. A funeral service will occur Thursday, October 19, 2023 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM, 2951 S. Belt Line Road, Grand Prairie, TX 75052. A committal service will occur Thursday, October 19, 2023 from 11:15 AM to 11:30 AM at DFW National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75211.
