She first crossed paths with the love of her life at the tender age of 12. When she was 14, their paths crossed again. They wed in 1968 after 5 years of courting. Their fairytale life began as they welcomed their first son in 1969, quickly followed by their only daughter.
In 1971, they immigrated and planted roots in good ol’ Irving, Texas. They welcomed two more sons and purchased their first home in Grand Prairie in 1983. After years of being a proud homemaker, she entered the workforce.
She began working for Vought Aerospace. There she made several life long friends and acquaintances. Always proud of her union membership and association with Vought, she retired after 25 years of service.
Ludy loved the finer things in life. She loved to travel. She’s gambled in Vegas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Puerto Rico. She visited New York before and after the attacks. She’s been in the White House and “The King’s” house; Graceland. There wasn’t a trip she didn’t enjoy.
She also loved food. She had a sweet tooth the size of Texas and could never decide which cuisine was her favorite. She loved eating out but when it came to Mexican food, you couldn’t beat hers with a bat.
She expected everyone to treat her like royalty and her husband worshipped the ground she walked on.
She was a great cook, incredibly witty, stylish, and stern. She was direct, honest and unwavering in her beliefs.
Late in life, she experienced challenging health issues and defied the odds. Described as a walking miracle by many of her doctors, it was the loss of her eldest son to Covid a mere 7 months ago that broke her. After a hard fought health event, she left her husband of 54 years in the loving hands of their remaining children on Tuesday, February 1, 2022. She loved God and asked that His will be done.
Ludy is proceeded in death by her first born, very handsome and vibrant son, Albert Javier Narvaez; her God loving sister, Maria Antonia Martinez and her family oriented parents, Santiago and Margarita Aleman.
