John Thomas Rodgers

John Thomas Rodgers died on October 26, 2018 at his home in Whitney, TX. He passed away peacefully in his sleep after a short illness. John T worked for many years for LTV Aeronautics. Although he started his career as a machinist’s apprentice, through hard work and continuing education, he worked his way up and retired as an engineer. He worked on several of LTV’s important projects including the B-2 Stealth Bomber, parts for NASA’s Space Shuttle, and many sub-contracts for Boeing. In the late 90’s, John T retired to his lake home in Whitney, TX, where he spent many years with the love of his life, Janice. Preceded in death by Janice in 2016, he is survived by their 4 children: John Rodgers, Jr., Steven Rodgers, David Rodgers and Janice Lynn Swisher; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren. Visitation: 12 noon, Tuesday, October 30, 2017 at Bean-Massey-Burge Funeral Home. Funeral Service to follow at Bean-Massey-Burge Funeral Home Chapel at 1PM. Burial to follow at Parkdale Cemetery in Arlington.
