He worked most of his adult life for LTV as a mechanical engineer and retired from Bell Helicopter in December 1997. He was a loving and devoted husband to his wife Joan for 49 years until her passing in 2001. Growing up, he enjoyed taking fishing trips with his brother Herbert, working on cars, and attending sporting events. He also enjoyed taking vacations with Joan and seeing the countryside.
Harold was a faithful example of what it meant to serve the Lord without wavering. He remained true to his faith in God during good times and bad. By his steadfast example, he instilled this same faith into each of his four children who today remain just as committed to the Lord as he was. He was a strong, quiet, and benevolent man who helped so many people during his lifetime. He rarely asked anyone for anything but freely gave to those in need and regularly gave to various charities and non-profits. He was truly loved by those who knew him and will be sorely missed by all who benefited from his kind and gentle strength.
Harold was preceded in death by wife, Joan Sims and daughter, Debra Webster.
He is survived by his daughter Cynthia Ward and husband Richard; sons: Daniel W, and Timothy R and his wife, Elma; eight grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren; and numerous family members.
