Gene Albert Sutterfield

Funeral services will be held at 11am on Tuesday, November 6, 2012, at Bean Massey Burge Funeral Home – Dalworth Chapel. Burial will follow at DFW National Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday from 6pm to 8pm at the funeral home.

Gene was born January 18, 1951, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to Katie Sutterfield Baker and the late Joe Baker. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War and was in the 101st Airborne Division. He was preceded in death by his brothers: Jimmy Sutterfield and Michael Sutterfield; and grandmother, Polly Moody. Those left to cherish his memories include: mother, Katie Baker; wife, Cathy Sutterfield; children: Melissia and Ronnie Roberts, Candace and Jay Clayton, Billie and Shane Austin, Melisa Bullock and Ricky Arizpe, and April Bullock; grandchildren: Katie, Ryan, Devon, Tiffany, Brian, Angelica, Kareena, Ricky Jr., Antonio, Claudia, Timothy, Velvet, Carly, Patrick, Melanie, and Shannon Jean; great grandchildren: Wesley Mitten and Lillie Mitten; brothers: Donnie Sutterfield, Robert Sutterfield, Gary Baker, and David Baker; and sister, Beth Thomas.
