Frank Jakab

Frank Clarence Jakab of Grand Prairie, TX, age 77 went to be with his loving Savior and Lord Jesus Christ on June 19, 2019, a man of faith, love, and laughter. Born in Hiram, Ohio on March 5, 1942, he was the beloved son of Helen Jakab (Viligi), and Frank Jakab Sr.

Frank and Elaine began their family in Maple Heights, OH and in 1982 they moved to Grand Prairie, TX to live near his mother Helen Jakab and his brother Leonard Jakab. Frank worked as a printer at JMH and tried to retire around 2007 but they continued to need him when they had large orders. He did finally retire from JMH in 2008 at the age of 66. As a hobby Frank would work on and race cars and motorcycles. He was very talented in fixing up old carburetors to run vehicles to their best economical condition. Frank was adventurous and loved to ride his motorcycle on long road trips with friends. He enjoyed going to swap meets. He belonged to the Norton club and met every Wednesday for breakfast. He belonged to the Inliner club which met the first Sunday each month for lunch. Frank's personality was defined by his wonderful sense of humor and unconditional love for his family and those around him. Frank was a faithful member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic church. Frank was a genuine friend and considered his many friendships blessings and great sources of joy. He will be missed by many.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 53 years to Elaine Jakab (Friga), and beloved father to Diane Boski, Joe Jakab, and Jane Smith. He was father in law to David Boski, and Dean Smith. Frank had four grandsons, Devin Boski, Jonathon Boski, Austin Smith, and Grant Smith. Frank was also very close to his nephew, Clint Jakab and his niece in law Julie Jakab (Stafford) and their 3 kids, Alex, Tanner, and Olivia.

A rosary service for Frank will be held Monday, June 24, 2019 from 5:00 PM to 5:45 PM at Bean-Massey-Burge Funeral Home Beltline Road, 2951 S. Belt Line Road, Grand Prairie, TX 75052. A visitation will occur from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, 2951 S. Belt Line Road, Grand Prairie, TX 75052. A funeral mass will occur Tuesday, June 25, 2019 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Michael The Archangel Catholic Church, 2910 Corn Valley Road, Grand Prairie, TX 75052.
