Esperanza Silva passed away November 15, 2014. She was born in Martindale, Texas on June 5, 1921 to Santiago and Adela Sandoval. Esperanza grew up in Martindale, and then during WWII her family spent time in Houston, Texas. After the war was over her family moved back to San Marcos. She married Manuel Silva and they began their family. They owned a restaurant in San Marcos till 1965 when they moved to Dallas, Texas. Esperanza was a house wife, but she did work in a school cafeteria for 20 years. She enjoyed sewing, making paper mache flowers and being overall crafty. She had a strong faith that she passed on to her family. She was a joyous, strong willed woman. However, her main passion was her family. Esperanza was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother who will be forever loved and greatly missed. She is preceded in death by her parents Adela and Santiago Sandoval; husband Manuel Silva; sisters Maria Perez, Consuelo Ortiz, Olivia Gonzales; children Anna Maria Silva, Rosalinda Silva, Mario Silva and grandson Christian Meza. She is survived by her sisters Fina Cabellero, Olga Guerrero, Elveria Hernandez, Ospicia Bastos; brother Alfonso Sandoval; children Joe Silva and his wife Letecia, Peter Silva, Sylvia Mendoza and her husband Larry; grandchildren Tammy Martinez, Michelle Shrima, Cynthia Guterriez, Michael Lara, Patric Silva, Lisa Garcia, Cristina Mendoza, Chris Soto, Jennifer Ponce, Melissa Silva; great grandchildren Andrew Reyes, Olivia Ramirez, Alex Gutirrez, Vincent Gutirrez, Xavier Gutirrez, Isablla Silva, Abrecia Tovas, Cerian Garcia, Gavin Garcia, Matthew Bonnilla, Samatha Ponce, Sallie Ponce, Nicholas Silva and great great grandchild Melia Roberts.
