Edward graduated Sam Rayburn High School and received his Bachelors in Mathematics from UTA. He worked as an engineer for AT&T until he retired at 53 years old. While in school he met Dorothy and they were married on August 11, 1968.
Edward was a strong-willed man who was exceptionally intelligent. He enjoyed working with remote control planes, collecting stamps and photography. He was a ladies-man and a storyteller. Edward would visit balloon festivals and also spent time playing softball with his daughter Robin. He was a funny, regimented man who enjoyed befriending the nurses at the hospital and giving away copies of pictures he took.
Edward is survived by; daughter Robin Perez; sister Margaret Fox, brother-in-law Jim Fox, brother John Perez and sister-in-law Rose Perez; granddaughter Summer Wilson, grandson-in-law Tyler Wilson, great grandson Zaxton Wilson, niece Laura Fox, nephew Jimmy Fox, niece Shelly Perez and nephew Phillip Perez.

Services will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at 11:00am. Flower donations may be sent directly to the church, 2010 S Carrier Pkwy, Grand Prairie, TX 75051.
