Dorothy B. Freeman

Dorothy was born January 13, 1927 in China Springs, TX and passed away peacefully February 11, 2012. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Lee Freeman; her parents, Alta Whitfield-Rogers and W.T. Rogers, Sr.; and one brother, W.T. Rogers, Jr. She is survived by one son, Kenneth and wife Deborah Freeman of Grand Prairie, TX; granddaughter Angel and husband Stacy Kymes of Bixby, OK; grandson Daniel Freeman of Grand Prairie, TX; and two great-grandchildren, Emily and Luke Kymes of Bixby, OK; and many friends. After growing up in China Springs and graduating from Waco High School in 1944, Dorothy married Herman Lee Freeman. Once Herman returned from World War II they lived in the Waco area until they moved to Grand Prairie, TX in 1951. A long time member of Indian Hills Baptist Church, Dorothy enjoyed traveling and spending time with her friends from church and neighbors at her apartment complex. Visitation: Noon until 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at Bean-Massey-Burge Funeral Home on Beltline. Service: 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, at Bean-Massey-Burge Funeral Home Chapel on Beltline. Burial: 3:00 p.m., Wednesday at Laurel Land Memorial Park in Dallas.
