David Allen Turner, age 79 of Grand Prairie, passed away on March 30, 2022. He was born on November 9, 1942 in Madill, Oklahoma, the son of Roscoe Edward Turner and Vinita Louise Barker Turner. David married Pearl Denise Cook and they celebrated 56 years of marriage together before his passing.
David proudly served in the US Army as a radio repair technician. David loved to learn, but loved to teach what he learned to others. This made him excel as a mentor and manager for Siemens, retiring after 31 years of dedicated service. In his spare time, David enjoyed playing golf, watching NASCAR and football, and fishing. David also perfected his culinary skills over the years and was known for his signature banana bread. David was s devout Christian with a strong love of the Lord and he and his wife were members of the Oaks Baptist Church. David also loved his family dearly and he will be greatly missed.
David is survived by his wife Denise; children Kristine Dezaiffe and husband Michael, Kari Powers and husband Noah, and Kyle Turner; grandchildren Michael David Dezaiffe, Michelle Dezaiffe, Zachary Winchester and wife Ariel, Tiffany Vaughn, Noah T. Powers, Brianna Powers, Urijah Powers, and Jennifer Winchester; great grandchildren Aurora Winchester, Levi Winchester, and Nathaniel Winchester; and his brother Dale Turner.
A celebration of David’s life will be at 2:00pm on Friday, April 8, 2022 at Bean-Massey-Burge Funeral Home in Grand Prairie.
