Bill H. DeLeon, age 55, gained his angel wings on Tuesday, December 7th, 2021, while at Baylor University Medical Center Dallas. Bill fought a courageous battle against cancer. Born in San Marcos, Texas on November 8, 1966, Bill was the youngest of nine children. He graduated from San Marcos High School in 1985 where he met his high school sweetheart, and later wife, Annette Rodriguez DeLeon. Bill and Annette were married October 24th, 1992, and moved to Grand Prairie, Texas for Bill's career. With over 30 years of experience in finance, Bill was a district manager at Southern Management Corporation.
Bill was preceded in death by his father, Marciano Prado DeLeon, his mother, Delores Hurtado DeLeon, and sister, Nelda Lugo. A devoted husband and father, Bill is survived by his wife of 29 years, Annette DeLeon, and daughter, Lauren Elizabeth DeLeon. He is also survived by his siblings Mark DeLeon of Lynchburg, Virginia, Richard DeLeon of San Marcos, Texas, Miguel DeLeon of Oceanside, California, Mario DeLeon of San Marcos, Texas, Gilbert DeLeon of New Braunfels, Texas, John Paul DeLeon of San Marcos, Texas, and Nancy Lugo of San Marcos, Texas, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other family and many friends.
In Bill's spare time he enjoyed camping in his RV, boating, grilling, and entertaining family and friends at his home. Whether he was dancing or singing, Bill was the life of every party. Bill had an infectious smile and a wonderful sense of humor; he could brighten anyone's day. No matter what life threw at Bill, he continued to have an optimistic outlook on life.
Funeral services are entrusted to Bean Massey Burge Funeral Home in Grand Prairie, Texas. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 15th, 2021, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Bean Massey Burge Funeral Home, 2951 S. Belt Line Rd., Grand Prairie, Texas.
Services will continue in San Marcos, Texas and will be entrusted to Thomason Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 17th, 2021 from 3:00 PM-5:00 PM at Thomason Funeral Home, 2001 Ranch Rd. 12, San Marcos, Texas. The Holy Rosary will follow at 7:00 PM at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 624 Hopkins St., in San Marcos, Texas.
A Funeral Mass is scheduled for Saturday, December 18th, 2021 at 11:00 AM at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in San Marcos. Interment will follow at Memory Lawn Memorial Park, 19106 San Marcos Hwy., in Martindale, Texas.
Serving as pallbearers will be Aaron Lugo, Jason DeLeon, Joshua DeLeon, Jeremy Lugo, Lance Espinoza, Frank Rodriguez, Jr., Michael Torrez, and Richard Soliz, Jr.
Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Michael James DeLeon, and Mychael Mendoza.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt appreciation for all of the prayers and condolences for the loss of their beloved Bill. He was loved by so many and will missed dearly.
Memorials may be made in Bill's name to the LLS- Leukemia Lymphoma Society.
Out of respect for the family and the safety of others, face masks are highly recommended throughout the services.
