Ronald Carl Forsman passed away February 16,2021. Ron was born to Carl and Leta Forsman in 1953 in Compton, California. He was the eldest of three boys. The family moved to Mesa, Colorado where he spent his childhood. He graduated from Plateau Valley High School in 1971. After high school, Ron served 7 years in the United States Navy serving on the USS Nimitz and the USS Forrestal. During his time in the US Navy, Ron was awarded Sailor of the Year while attached to VAW 116. He married Janet L Seeley in 1981. Together they raised two daughters in Fruita, Colorado. Ron spent his adult life working in numerous mines across the country as a heavy equipment operator. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his wife, daughters, Sheli and Sarah, and their grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Leta Forsman, and his brother, Richard Forsman. Ron is survived by his wife of 39 years, Janet Forsman, daughters Sheli Mitchell, Sarah (Curtis) Smith, Joeleen (Earl) Westbrook, grandchildren Sean, Elizabeth, Brittney (Conner) Dowdy, Evan, Judd, and great-grandson Julien, and his brother Ed (Shelly) Forsman
