Lyle was born in Winslow, Arizona on 1/11/86 He grew up in different communities on the Navajo Nation before moving to Colorado. He lived in the Grand Valley for the past 18 years.
Lyle graduated from Monument Valley High School, Kayenta, AZ, and Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts, Las Vegas. He worked in various chef / cook positions in Las Vegas, Lake Tahoe, Flagstaff, and the Grand Valley. He was cooking at the Berna B’s Classic Cuisine & Catering at the time of his death.
Lyle deeply loved and was devoted to his children and family.
He is survived by his partner of 6 years, Kimberly and their two children Zoe (4) and Oliver (9); mother and stepfather, Andrea Jahnke and John Gribben; stepbrothers, James Nez, Gary Nez, Ramone Nez, Darrell Dixon, Matthew Dixon; stepsisters, Bobbi Rose Nez, Deborah Lem; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Lyle is preceded in death by his adopted father, Roland Dixon.
Graveside services will be at Orchard Mesa Cemetery in Grand Junction, CO, on Friday, November 5, at 3 pm.
In lieu of flowers the family asks you to send donations in Lyle’s honor to the St Mary’s Medical Center Foundation and specify the Intensive Care Unit.
