Ilene Maurine Stithem

Ilene Stithem, a beloved wife, mother, and friend, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of joy, faith, and love. Known for her radiant spirit and unwavering faith in God, Ilene approached each day with gratitude and a deep desire to uplift those around her. Her life mirrored the qualities of the faithful woman described in Proverbs 31—clothed in strength, dignity, and wisdom.

Ilene's love for hospitality was legendary; she welcomed all with open arms and a warm meal, turning her home into a haven filled with laughter and love. A devoted gardener, she nurtured her plants with the same care she offered her relationships, helping those around her to flourish.

An adventurous spirit, Ilene embraced the world with curiosity and enthusiasm, exploring new places and experiences while cherishing time with family and friends. Her infectious smile and empathetic nature made her a cherished companion to all.

As we celebrate Ilene’s life, we find comfort in the knowledge that she now rests in the peace of her Shepherd, as described in Psalm 23. Her legacy of kindness, faithfulness, and service continues to inspire us to live fully and joyfully, just as she did.

A memorial service for Ilene will be held Saturday, October 26, 2024 at 10:30 AM at Calvary Bible Church, 629 27 1/2 Rd, Grand Junction,, CO 81506. An interment will occur Tuesday, November 5, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Western Colorado, 2830 Riverside Pkwy., Grand Junction, CO 81501.
