Howard Torgerson Sanders

Howard Torgerson Sanders, age 84, of Palisade, Colorado passed away on Friday, March 10, 2023. Howard was born in Lovell, Wyoming.   Howard was born on June 9, 1938 at Lovell Hospital, Lovell Wyoming USA. His parents were Virgil and Esther Sanders. Howard was raised in Lovell and Byron (High School) Wyoming. He was brought up to be self-confident and dependable. These were traits that would serve him well throughout his life.

Howard T Sanders passed away on March 10, 2023 at Saint Mary's Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado. Howard fought a brave battle against cancer & respiratory and other organs failing but died peacefully at the end of his journey with his wife and family by his side that day. He is survived by his wife Suzanne, children Michael (deceased),Eric, Stacy, Karen (deceased), their mother Terry Sanders (Hefley) their grandchildren Melissa, Amanda, Autymn, Brent, Brittany; their great grandchildren Michael, Daelen, Tayden, Rylie, Astrea, Jaxson & Kinsley. Also his sister Marjorie and brother Richard.

A memorial service for Howard will be held Thursday, March 30, 2023 at 11:00 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 3076 E1/2 Road,, Grand Junction, CO 81504. An inurnment with military honors will occur Thursday, March 30, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Western Colorado, 2830 Riverside Pkwy., Grand Junction, CO 81501. A reception following services will occur Thursday, March 30, 2023 at 2:00 PM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 3076 E 1/2 Rd, Grand Junction, CO 81504.
