Harold Wayne Firestone

Harold Wayne Firestone, age 95, of Clifton, CO. peacefully passed away on Friday, November 3rd, 2023, at the Hope West Hospice Care Center. Harold was born to Noah and Alberta Firestone in Shattuck Oklahoma and was raised in the Grand Valley which he was a resident for most of his life. He was united in marriage to Dixie Webb in 1948. They raised their children in Palisade, and Harold worked at the Cameo coal mine. Harold and Dixie were also residents of Paonia for 21 years and returned to Palisade after Harold retired from Bear Coal Company in Paonia. Harold loved to golf, fish, hunt, and enjoyed refurbishing bamboo fishing rods which he gave to his family. Harold was a fierce billiard player and poker player and enjoyed winning his family members quarters with a big smile.

Harold is survived by two sons Roy (Charleah) Firestone of Fruita, CO., Daryl (Jule) Firestone of Farmington, NM; two daughters Debbie (Del) Turetzky of Grand junction, CO., Robin (Mike) Long of Hotchkiss CO. 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews who all will miss him dearly.

At Harold’s request, he will be cremated, and no services will be held at this time.
