Gerald L Wareham

Gerald Lynn Wareham, age 86, of Grand Junction, CO, passed away on Monday, May 29, 2023 at his home with his daughter and granddaughter by his side. Gerald was born on March 19, 1937 in Grand Junction, CO to Lynn Wareham and Shirley Hubbard Wareham. He spent his childhood in both Grand Junction and Gateway, CO where he attended Gateway High School. He also lived in Las Vegas, NV, Moab, UT, Price, UT , and LaSal, UT. On December 20, 1955, he married his beloved wife Julia Josephine Rogers Wareham in Durango, CO.

Gerald was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and worked as a miner, rancher, and truck driver. He enjoyed gardening, his grandchildren and great grandchildren, horses, his side-by-side, cutting wood, and visiting with his family and friends.

Gerald was preceded in death by his parents Lynn and Shirley Wareham; his loving wife Julia J. Wareham; his daughter Julie Lynne Wareham; and 2 great grandchildren, Bailey L. Goode and Tresten R. Goode.

Survivors include his son William Wareham (Malanie) of LaSal, UT; his daughter Shirley Sanford of Grand Junction, CO; his brothers, Bert Wareham of St. George, UT, George Wareham of Green River, UT, and Orson Wareham of Vernal, UT; his sister Linda Jorden of Powell, WY; his 7 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.

A graveside service for Gerald will be held Monday, June 5, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Orchard Mesa Cemetery, 2620 Legacy Way, Grand Junction, CO 81503.
