Elma Earlene Hill passed away on July 9, 2022 at the age of 79, after suffering a silent heart attack. She fiercely battled several types of cancer for almost 20 years. Earlene was born in Fairfield, Illinois in 1943, where she spent her early years. In 1961, she graduated high school in San Jose, California. She wed the great love of her life, Gerald L. Hill, in 1964, and together they raised their two children, Sherry Kaylene and James Duane.
Earlene was a nurturer and found deep purpose in caring for the many children she fostered and babysat for over the years. It was important to her to maintain relationships with those that she loved.
Earlene was an avid gardener and had a true green thumb. She kept a plentiful vegetable garden for many years, and had the surprise of a lifetime when her century plant bloomed to over 12 feet in height. However, her true passion was the careful cultivation of her beautiful roses.
Earlene is preceded in death by her parents; Donald and Lena Faye Peer, brother Ted, as well as daughter Elizabeth Marie who was born sleeping.
She will be remembered by; her beloved husband Jerry, daughter Sherry and son-in-law Michael Myers, and son James Hill. Grandchildren; Falon and husband Joshua Lindner, Danielle Fouts, Derick Brown and Melissa Myers. Eight great-grandchildren; Alexis, Zachary, Abigail, Fritz, Lincoln, Emilee, Briley and Ryder.
