Donald E. Jones

October 6, 1946 – October 7, 2013

Donald “Bud” Jones passed away on October 7, 2013 at Eagle Ridge of the Valley Care Center after a long illness, he was 67.

Bud was born on October 6, 1946 in Sheridan, Wyoming from the union of Donald and Dorothy Jones. He spent his childhood in Grand Junction, CO and graduated from Central High School Special Ed.

He was a telephone salesman and sold a variety of items from light bulbs to bird and flowers seeds. Bud enjoyed short-wave radio and along with his father made contact with people from all across the world. Friends and family remember his love of country music, a hot cup of coffee and the pranks and jokes he would good heartedly pull.

Bud leaves behind a brother; Richard Jones of Craig, CO, two sisters; Loni Brown and Carol Mulligan both of Grand Junction, CO and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Bud was preceded in death by his parents, a niece; Kimberly Anne Brown and a nephew; Adam Smith.

A memorial service will be held at 3:30 PM, Friday, October 11, 2013 at Martin Mortuary.
