Celia was born to Santiago and Eulalia Medina in Del Norte, CO, February 13, 1951. She was a resident in Grand Junction for the past ten years. She spent several years in Bloomfield, NM, and spent her childhood and most of her adult life in Ogden, UT. Celia enjoyed listening to gospel and Spanish music, dancing, beading, crafts, crocheting and spending time with her family. Her greatest joy was loving on her grandkids and long talks with her sisters.
Celia is survived by sons, Timmy Martinez, Matthew Werito, and David Martinez, and daughters, Lynnette (Cody) Jackson, Dalia (Ricardo) Garcia and DaLynn (Matthew) Werito. She has 21 grandkids; 31 great-grandkids, and four siblings, Cecelia, Tommy, Leon, and Onofre.
Celia is preceded in death by parents, Santiago and Eulalia Medina; husband, Joe Luna Martinez; grandsons, Patrick, Adan, and Izzac, and siblings, Stella, Alex, Henry, Tiofilio, and Michael.
Visitation will be at 9:00 a.m. with services following at 10:00 a.m., at Martin Mortuary, 5050 North Ave., Grand Junction, CO. There will be a luncheon held after at Junction Community Church, 2867 Orchard Ave., Grand Junction, CO 81501.
