Betty Buniger of Loma, CO. passed away peacefully at St. Mary’s Hospital early Wednesday
morning. Betty had battled Sarcoma Cancer in her left knee twice, the second time leading to an
amputation in September, as well as pneumonia and Covid.
Betty was born Elizabeth on July 5, 1933 in Fruita CO, to Odiel & Mary Favorel. She was a 60
year resident of Loma Colorado. Betty worked at Coors Tech in Grand Junction for over 20
years before retiring in 1998.
Betty was a very strong woman who rarely complained. She enjoyed many things, but her love
for life and her family was her greatest enjoyment. She also loved gardening, being outside, and
she was always ready to go on a road trip for some fun times gambling.
Betty is survived by her two grandsons, Chris of Loma & Rowdy (Shanna) Buniger of Fruita. As
well as her 5 great grandchildren, Odessa, Tucker, Corben, Jayten & Ellie Buniger. She was
preceded in death by her husband Harold & son David Buniger.
Betty will be greatly missed by so many, she was a huge part of her grandkids and great
grandkids life.
A Memorial service will be in the spring.
