Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary Chapel. Services will take place at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Canyon View Vineyard Chapel.
Ms. Schmidt was a health care specialist.

Amy Lynne Schmidt-Kuether passed away on February 10, 2014, at St Mary's Hospital after a lifelong fight against Cystic Fibrosis.
Amy was born in Grand Junction, Colorado on February 25, 1983, to Lynn and Darla Schmidt. They were dedicated to loving Amy with all their hearts and helping her live a healthy, adventure filled life. Amy lived passionately by riding dirt bikes, dancing, and being outdoors.
She graduated from Palisade High School in 2001, and worked in various positions at the Commons of Hilltop.
Amy danced and laughed her way into Kevin ""Scott"" Kuether's heart in 2005, and never left. Scott and Amy celebrated their love in a ceremony before God, friends and family on August 11, 2013.
On February 16, 2009, Amy had a double lung transplant, for the next five years she showed her friends and family what it means to live, laugh, and love.
Survivors include her parents, Lynn and Darla; her soul mate, Scott Kuether; her grandparents, Joe Ochoa of Grand Junction, and Dean and Pat Andreasen of Henderson, Nevada; many family members and friends that will never forget her.
A viewing will be held on Monday February 17th from 5 - 8:00 p.m. at Callahan-Edfast. A memorial service will be on Tuesday February 18th, at 10:00 a.m. at Canyon View Vineyards Church. Please wear bright colors.
