Robert L. Conroy

Robert L. Conroy – age 87, passed away on November 15, 2020 in Flint, Michigan. Memorial mass will be celebrated on Thursday, November 19, 2020 at 12:00pm at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church - 404 North Dayton Street, Davison, MI. The family will receive guests beginning at 11:00am and a Knights of Columbus Service will be held at 12:00pm at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Per the family’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Bob was born on February 18, 1933 in Flint, Michigan to the late Martin and Agnes Conroy. Bob proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War. On May 4, 1957 in Flint, Michigan, Bob married the love of his life, Sally Hoydic. He worked at AC Powerhouse retiring after 30 years. In his retirement, he worked at Group Living Facility in Flint Township for 20 years. Bob was a 3rd and 4th Degree Knights of Columbus for over 62 years Davison 4090, President of the St. Vincent DePaul, Holy Redeemer Men’s Club, Davison VFW, and Indian Guides. Bob loved to golf; he proudly achieved three hole in ones during his lifetime. He also enjoyed bowling and traveling with Sally. Bob was a wonderful man and will be deeply missed. He is survived by his wife, Sally; children: MaryAnn (Roger) Hergenreder, Lori (Bob) Oelfke, Stephen (Lynn) Conroy, Carolyn Weidenhammer, Theresa (Bill) Langlois; family friend, John McFadden; grandchildren: Chad (Kendra) Conroy, Matt Hergenreder, Benjamin Conroy, Joe Hergenreder, Chelsea Conroy, Ryann Weidenhammer, Rachel Oelfke; great grandchildren: Olivia Bonar, Charlotte Conroy, Madelyn Conroy; and brother, William (Bonna) Conroy and sister-in-law, Everill Conroy.
