Martin Thomas Walden, age 74, of Grand Blanc, Michigan passed away on Friday, September 22, 2023. Martin was born on February 10, 1949 to the late Don C. and Anastasia (Ligas) Walden in Flint Michigan. He graduated from Southwestern High School in 1967. After graduation, Martin furthered his education with the college of Skilled Trade and he is a post member of the Carpenter Union of Flint. Martin was very skilled and well accomplished. His list of achievements are just a portion of who he was and they include Business Owner-Builder, Carpenter, Architect, Entrepreneur, Author, Inventor, Philanthropist and Artist. Martin was a man of honorable ethics and dignity. Some of Martin's special achievements was being a part of the Lake Fenton Sailing Club "Winning Crew Member, his golf league and being married for 53 years to Patricia Ann (Johnson) Walden. Martin had a lot of famous sayings, but his favorite one was "Let's Rock and Roll" which meant there are things to get done. Marty loved Michigan,he loved the summer family vacation and campfires.
To all of those he has loved, mentored and influenced, so many relatives and special friends and co-workers. His love and care of others made him the man he was. Thank you to our wonderful loving and supportive dear friends and relatives. Loved husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend to so many, we will miss you so much. Rest in peace the love of my life, our love for Marty will always be in our hearts forever.
He is survived by his wife; Patricia Ann Walden, sons; Troy D. Walden and Jason T. Walden, daughter-in-law Jenny, grandchildren; Sliar Walden and Anastasia Walden, he had a very special loving bond with his grandchildren, niece; Tamberly Rocknor, Julie Byerley and Mike Laforest and family. Martin loved his family deeply and he will be missed by all who knew him.
Preceded in death by his parents; Don and Anastasia Walden, brother; Don Walden, and sister Sharon Laforest. Per Martin's wishes cremation will take place and a chapel service to celebrate his life at Evergreen Cemetery - 3415 E. Hill Road, Grand Blanc, Michigan will take place at a later time.
