Gerald Stone, age 80, of Grand Blanc, Michigan passed away on June 13th at Ascension Genesys Hospital surrounded by his loving family after battling an illness for over 9 weeks. The family started calling him “Rocky” because he fought so hard.
Jerry was born in Lansing, Michigan to the late Frank and Orzelie Stone. He was raised in Detroit, Michigan with his loving sister, Janet Zaborowski and brother Ronald. Jerry attended Cody High School and married his high school sweetheart, Leavell Edington. Jerry and Leavell were blessed to raise four children: David, Kim (Bill), Kevin (Jeannie), and Tracy (Mark). Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Orzelie; and his loving wife, Leavell. However, his legacy lives on with his 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Jerry’s kind and loving spirit, positive attitude, love of people, and his ability to connect with others, lead him to be a highly successful salesperson for Snap-On-Tools. In his free time, Jerry loved to travel, fish, discuss history, attend concerts, and spend time with friends and family.
Please join us in celebrating such a wonderful son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather. Visitation will be held from 3pm to 8pm with a rosary at 7pm at Hill Funeral Home 11723 S. Saginaw St., Grand Blanc, Michigan on Friday, June 17th. Funeral services for Gerald will be at Holy Family Catholic Church 11804 S. Saginaw St., Grand Blanc, Michigan on Saturday, June 18th at 10am. Funeral luncheon to follow at Taboon 8235 Trillium Circle Ave (from Holly Rd.) in Grand Blanc, Michigan.
