Robert was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather, and great grandfather. He loved his God, spending time with his family and friends, dancing, laughter, and of course this great country we all love, America.
He leaves behind wife, Mary Belcher; son, Robert Kimball, daughters, Reece LaPerna, Tammy Taylor, and Cheri Belcher; 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Robert honorably served his country in the United States Army. He retired after 22 years of service with tours in Korea, 2 tours in Vietnam, and Germany. Upon retirement from Fort Hood, Texas, he moved to Florida in 1986 where he began working in the construction industry specializing in Eifs Stucco. Some of you may also recognize him from The Swan and Dolphin Hotels, and the Sun Bank building in downtown Orlando.
Whether you were family, friend, neighbor, or stranger, Robert had a heart for all. If you needed anything he was there to lend a hand.
Things he loved: God, time spent with family and friends, dancing, and laughter, and of course, this great country we call America.
The family will receive friends from 9-11 am on Monday, July 8, 2019 at Woodlawn Funeral Home in Gotha. A celebration of life service will follow at 11am at the funeral home with Brother Gene Pritchard officiating. Robert will be laid to rest with military honors in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
