Patricia Mary Yates

Patricia graduated from Southwest Miami High School, class of 1963. She was married to Murray S. Yates Jr. on June 5, 1965.

Patricia’s passions were spending quality time with family and friends, music, theater, the Miami Dolphins, cooking, vacationing in the mountains, and autumn weather.

She is survived by her husband, Murray Yates of Orlando, FL, two daughters, Cynthia Yates Tinder (John Casselli) of Orlando, FL and Michelle Yates Velez (Erick) of Deltona, FL, five grandchildren, Dylon Louis Whiddon (Kristi), Tyler Yates Whiddon (children of Michelle), Brittany Nicole Tinder, Lauren Brooke Tinder, and Matthew Ryan Tinder (children of Cynthia), her sister, Carol Ann (Brechue) Giegel of East Granby, CT, four nieces, Debra Wright, Laurie McPartlin, Terrie Bournique, Renee Thornton, and nephew, Bob Giegel, as well as a host of many others who loved her dearly and have many cherished memories of her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lillian (Caypless) Brechue and Louis Brechue, her brother, John Brechue, and nephew, Mark Brechue.

Visitation will be held on Friday from 5 to 8pm at Woodlawn Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, FL. Funeral Mass will be held at 2pm on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at Resurrection Catholic Church, 1211 Winter Garden Vineland Road, Winter Garden, FL 34787. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Dr. Phillip’s Center for the Performing Arts.
