Mike was also known as Kent by his family and close friends. As a young boy growing up, he started his lifelong fantasy with guns by going out with his father in the woods behind his house. His father, being an avid hunter, enjoyed taking him out for practice with BB guns every chance he got. Even his kid sister would tag along occasionally, against mothers wishes, of course. “Shhh! We won’t tell Mom!”

As a young teenager, he began his fascination with old cars. In the summer of 1970, he became the proud owner of his very first car, a 1955 Chevy Bel Air, which he still owns to this day.

He followed in his father’s footsteps taking a job at a canning company known as Citrus Central. He wasn’t able to work with his father as he had hoped for at Crown Cork and Seal. But then years later, Citrus Central was bought out by Crown Cork and Seal, so he eventually did work there but by then his father had already retired.

Not too long after, Crown Cork & Seal moved all their business up north and he was left looking for work. That's when he came on board at Home Depot and has been with them for 16 years plus.

Mike found good work and good people there, making quite a few good friends. He enjoyed his work and in his spare time he thoroughly enjoyed collecting coins. The two most important things in his life were his cars and his dogs. Nothing gave him as much pleasure and happiness as all his dogs.

Mike (Kent) will be sorely missed but always remembered for the kind gentle soul he was.

Rest in peace my dear brother, you are now in God's precious hands.
