Maureen Patricia (Sullivan) O’Neil, 87, Orlando, Florida, passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2023, surrounded by her children and grandchildren. She is predeceased by her beloved husband of 59 years, Charles J. O’Neil, Jr. She is survived by her five children Charles J. O’Neil III, John M. O’Neil, Craig M. O’Neil, Steven E. O’Neil, and Erin A. Radford (Adam) and granddaughters Mackenzie J. O’Neil, Shannon M. Radford, and Hannah L. Radford. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Maureen was born in Cambridge, MA., daughter to John and Joan Sullivan, and is also predeceased by her three sisters: Eileen Leary (Joseph) of Canton, MA., Sheila Foley (Larry) of Milton, MA. and Joan McLucas (Dave) of Winchester, MA. She graduated from The Cambridge Matignon Catholic High School and Wyndham Secretarial School in Boston before marrying in 1958. As her husband began a successful lifelong career as a sales executive in the paper and stationery industry, the couple raised their five children setting up homes in six different cities including Binghamton, Syracuse, Boston, Dayton and Kansas City, before retiring in the Bay Hill community of Orlando in 2000.
Maureen will be remembered lovingly for her strong Irish spirit and beautiful, sparkling blue eyes as well as her witty sense of humor, warm, gentle manner, and stoic approach to life’s utmost challenges. Her greatest passion in life was her endless devotion to her family as a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She loved Cape Cod, family vacations at the beach, a glass of chardonnay and giggles with her sisters, playing golf and bridge with dear friends, and spending time laughing with her children and grandchildren while supporting them tirelessly in all their endeavors.
Maureen’s lifelong example of strong character, unwavering and unconditional love, and solid Catholic faith will help her family navigate their overwhelming grief, as they look forward to that day when they are reunited once again.

Funeral Service: Monday, March 27, 11:30 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church Daily Chapel, 5125 South Apopka Vineland Road, Orlando, FL 32819. (The Daily Chapel is on the south side of the main church with parking in the back and on the side.)
