He was born in Osage, West Virginia on January 22, 1940 to the late Audrey Roger & Barbara (Bako) Collins.
Jimmy served as a proud Navy Veteran; and later, a Florida Health Inspector by trade.
He met his beloved wife, Anita, while they were both working at the Naval Hospital at Saint Albans, New York. They took on life’s adventures together with great joy and laughter.
On a day off, you might find Jimmy taking in an old Western, or cheering on his Steelers, Bucs, and the Earnhardts behind the wheel.
His family and friends miss him dearly.
Jimmy is survived by his loving wife, Anita; children, James Collins (Marie), Laurye Divers (Jeff); grandson, Benjamin; and brother. Don Collins of WV.
Please join us on Sunday, September 24 at 1pm for a gathering to celebrate Jimmy’s life and share stories at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Rd, Gotha, FL 34734.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared for the Collins family in the online guest book below.
