After graduating from Duke University with a degree in Electrical Engineering, he spent a 35 year
career in Engineering and Management with Western Electric/AT&T/Lucent Technologies.
Outside work his passions included golf , photography, and Bordeaux wines. Actually, all wines.
Playing in the Delaware Classic Golf Tournament each July in Muncie was the centerpiece of the
golfing year.

incredible wines. Many other trips allowed enjoyment of wines from around the world.
After retirement he developed interests in woodworking and phototgraphy. The bird population around
Hunter’s Creek would come to him for photo-ops. One Great American Egret would come right up to
the front door.
He loved Food & Wine Dinners with treasured friends, and went to as many as possible.
He also adored his furry children, Toby and Max, and spoiled them rotten.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents and two siblings; Joel Harvey and Tim Harvey. He is survived
by his wife of 30 years Patricia Harvey, his sister Carol (Harvey) Fischer and brother Edward Harvey, and many nieces, nephews and their families.
