Hazel Austin

Hazel F. Austin, age 90, of Orlando, Florida, passed away April 7, 2019. She was born in New York, NY on February 23, 1929, to Fredrick and Ella Abramson. She graduated from George Washington High School in New York city. She performed her nursing training at Brooklyn State hospital, and earned her nursing degree through New York State University. She was married to Edmund Austin on October 2, 1954. Hazel worked as a registered nurse for 35 years, working 20 plus years for Brooklyn Jewish Hospital, and Beth Israel Hospital were she retired in September of 1989. Hazel Austin and her husband moved to Florida in 1989 where she had been residing until her passing. Hazel loved to cruise, and, enjoyed playing slots at the casino. She is survived by her husband Edmund Austin, her children; Sharon Austin and Stewart Austin, her grandchildren, Alysa and Mychal Austin, and her sister, Pearl Chisholm.
