Eleanor will be lovingly remembered by her devoted daughter Diane Jackson (fiancé, David Garvin), granddaughter Maranda Jackson, grandson David Jackson (Michelle), great grandchildren William Piper, Michael Piper, and Haliegh Slater, brothers Joseph Bohman (Martha), and Harvey Bohman (Jeanette), and sister Jenny Keepers (Sergio Quiroz). Eleanor is pre-deceased by her loving husband of 53 years, Robert.
In her early years, Eleanor frequently moved with her parents, which most likely set the stage for her love of travel. During her 86 years she visited many places around the world, including Asia, Europe, Mexico and the Caribbean. She was also fortunate to have put down roots in several cities around the United States, such as Hayward, Ashland, and Fox River Grove, Wisconsin; Albuquerque, New Mexico; Albany, Georgia; Norfolk, Virginia; and numerous cities in Southern California. She also lived in the Philippines for two years before finally settling down in Casselberry, Florida.
While she loved to travel, Eleanor also enjoyed a career in banking, eventually retiring from Bank of America in Orlando. In addition to work, Eleanor had many hobbies and passions, including square dancing, sewing, crafts, scrapbooking, and collecting salt and pepper shakers. And she adored cats. Eleanor was never without at least one cat.
Eleanor cared deeply about others, always putting their needs ahead of her own. She was a charitable person, often volunteering for various organizations and donating her time and resources anonymously. Eleanor was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, and Whirl and Twirl Square Dancing. She was extremely passionate about life and her family. Her greatest legacy will always be her unconditional love and support for her family. Eleanor will be deeply missed.
