Dolores Mary Moore

Dolores Mary Moore, age 89, of Orlando and Celebration, Florida passed away on Monday, July 24, 2023. Born in Brooklyn, New York on March 8, 1934, to Peter and Ella Pomarico, she had two brothers, Peter Jr., and Robert. She is survived by her three daughters, Diana Moore, Karen Moore and Elena Hecht, granddaughter, Amanda Breard, great grandchildren, Kira, Dylan and Luke.

She graduated from Eastern District H.S. in Brooklyn, NY in June of 1951 with honors in Stenography and Bookkeeping. She was formally married to Jack E. Moore in Jan. 1957.

Dolores had a 21-year career with the 7-Eleven Corp., starting as an Executive Secretary and ascending to Employee Relations Manager. She earned her BSBA degree from Florida Southern College in 1986 while working full time. She later graduated Magna Cum Laude from Nova Southern University with an MS degree in Psychology, again while working full time. After retiring in 1995 she lived a quiet life enjoying reading, writing, following National Politics and being surrounded by close friends and neighbors.

A visitation for Dolores will be held Friday, July 28, 2023, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Woodlawn Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, FL 34734. A funeral service will occur Friday, July 28, 2023, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, FL 34734. A committal service will occur Friday, July 28, 2023, from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, FL 34734.
