Betty Jean Davis

Betty Jean Davis, 94, of Orlando, FL, passed away peacefully on April 16, 2023. Her youngest daughter and caregiver of many years, Donna Roberts, was at her side. Betty was born in Des Moines, Iowa on October 2nd,1928 to parents, Ray and Patricia (Kudzma) Rose. In 1946, she married Henry C. Stuart, the father of her four children, and in 1961 they moved to Clearwater, FL. They later divorced but remained very good friends throughout their lives. Betty loved going to the beach, cooking and sewing in her younger days. She was a great hostess in a couple of different restaurants and, also worked as a beauty consultant at Maas Brothers. She later married the love of her life, Andy Davis, in 1983. She was the office manager and co-owner of their Interstate Battery business of central Florida. Andy and Betty enjoyed many years of dancing together with friends at the Moose Lodge in Orlando. They also loved boating, playing cards, family cruises and spending time with family and friends. Betty lived a full life. She was a very forgiving person and never held a grudge. She also had a warm personality and loved to give out hugs. She will be remembered for her beautiful smile and will be missed by everyone who knew her.

She is survived by her sister, Doris Maceroni; Betty’s four children, Linda Williams, Glen Stuart, Charles Stuart and wife Francis Stuart and Donna Roberts; six grandchildren, Sandra McEwan, Charlie Stuart, Angela Acosta, Walter Stuart, Courtney Linn and Scott Roberts; seven great- grandchildren, Ava McEwan, Hayden McEwan, Rayna Acosta, Arie Acosta, Reagan Stuart, Carter Stuart and Ellie Linn; also many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the American Macular Degeneration Foundation in Betty’s name.

A visitation for Betty will be held Sunday, April 23, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Woodlawn Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, FL 34734. A funeral service will occur Sunday, April 23, 2023 from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, FL 34734. A committal service will occur Sunday, April 23, 2023 from 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, FL 34734.
