William Aurther Jennings Jr.

William A. “Bud” Jennings of Buckeye, Arizona passed away June 13, 2024 in Goodyear, Arizona at the age of 77. He was born July 31, 1946 in Phoenix, Arizona to the late William A. Jennings, Sr. and Clairbel Jennings. He was also preceded in death by son-in-law Bo Nelson.

Bud graduated from South Mountain High School in 1964. Two years later, on April 30, 1966, he married his beloved wife, Margaret Funk. Together, they raised three children who then blessed them with five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Bud loved being involved with the kids’ 4-H projects and other clubs. He also enjoyed being outdoors riding horses, hunting, and fishing. After 50 years, he retired from the UA Local 469 plumbers union.

William is survived by his wife Margaret Jennings; daughter Sandi Nelson; sons Troy (Shanna) Jennings and Travis (Danielle) Jennings; and his sister Francine (Jack) Dole. He is also survived by five grandchildren: Jessica Says, Jennifer Carmen, Cody Jennings, Hayden Jennings, and Gracie Jennings; and two great-grandchildren: Rhett Says and Bannon Says.

A memorial service will be held at 2pm, Saturday, June 22, 2024 at White Tanks Southern Baptist Church (1420 N. 192 Avenue, Buckeye, Arizona 85396).
